버닝브릿지스 사가|Burning Bridges SAGA|2024

버닝브릿지스 사가는 고영찬, 머피염, 박유키, 테오 콤발뤼지에(Théo Combaluzier), 플라비 로호(Flavie Loreau), 베르니 포아카네(Berni*e Poikāne), 총 여섯 명 의 한국, 프랑스 및 라트비안 작가들의 글로 구성된 웹진이다. 이들은 차례로 목포, 무주, 부산, 아르데슈(Ardéche), 드롬(Drôme), 그르노블(Grenoble), 리가(Rīga) 등 각 나라의 중앙을 벗어난 지역에서 예술 활동을 지속하고 있다. 지정학적으로 지방을 거처로 삼으며 그 주변 장소들에서 갖는 애정과 호기심, 그렇지만 주로 수도권을 활동 기반으로 삼으며 느낄 수밖에 없는 불편함과 외로움 같은 위치적 이격을 통해 ‘탈중앙화’와 ‘네오-뤼럴리즘’에 대해 관심을 기울인다.

Burning Bridges Saga is a webzine composed of writings by six artists from Korea, France, and Latvia: Ko Youngchan, Murphy Yum, Park Yuki, Théo Combaluzier, Flavie Loreau, and Berni*e Poikāne. These artists are each engaged in ongoing creative practices in regions outside the central hubs of their respective countries—places like Mokpo, Muju, Busan, Ardèche, Drôme, Grenoble, and Rīga. By living and working in these geographically peripheral areas, they cultivate a sense of affection and curiosity toward the surrounding landscapes. At the same time, they grapple with a sense of distance, discomfort, and isolation that often comes from operating within art ecosystems still largely centered in metropolitan capitals. Through these layered experiences of spatial dislocation, the project turns its attention to ideas of decentralization and neo-ruralism.
