꾸흐붜피(Courbefy)는 프랑스 리모쥬 근처에 위치한 유령마을이다. 2012년 한 한국인은 이 곳을 예술가 마을로 만들겠다는 목적으로 구입한다. 그는 이미 한국에서 검은돈 세탁과 투옥생활, 사이비 종교 교주와 이 공동체의 폐쇄적인 마을 ‘금수원’에 연루된 논란이 많은 인물이었다. 허나 프랑스에서는 ‘아해’라는 사진가명으로 활동하며 루브르와 베르사유 같은 명성 있는 기관들에서 전시를 연다. 2014년 한국에서 그가 소유한 청운 회사에 소속된 ‘세월’이라는 배의 침몰 사고로 300명이 넘는 학생들이 무고한 목숨을 잃는다. 사고 후 그는 모든 조사와 책임을 회피하며 잠적한다.
천국의 스파이는 다양한 관점으로부터 살펴보는 인물 ‘아해’에 대한 추적이다. 특히 사업가로서 자연과 생명을 바라보는 태도와 예술가로서 그것이 불일치 하는 것을 폭로한다.

Courbefy is a ghost village located near Limoges, France. In 2012, a Korean man purchased the area with the stated intention of transforming it into an artists’ village. However, in Korea, he was already a highly controversial figure—implicated in money laundering, prison time, ties to a pseudo-religious cult, and involvement with a secretive commune known as Geumsuwon. In France, he reinvented himself under the artist name Ahae, exhibiting his photography at prestigious venues such as the Louvre and Versailles. But in 2014, tragedy struck when a ship named Sewol, owned by his company Cheonghaejin Marine, sank off the coast of Korea, resulting in the deaths of over 300 people, most of them students. Following the disaster, he evaded all investigations and disappeared from public view.
The Spy from Heaven is an investigative work that tracks Ahae from multiple perspectives, focusing particularly on the contradictions between his stance toward nature and life as a businessman, and the way he represents these themes in his work as an artist.
